Never ridden a motorized bike before? Here is what actually matters for your first one, from a builder who has been wrenching on them for 5 years. 🏍️
For a first bike, smaller is better. A 50cc two stroke is easier to control, cheaper to run and simpler to maintain. It also lines up with the North Carolina moped limits of 50cc and 30 mph (see our NC motorized bike law guide).
66cc and 80cc builds are faster and pull harder up hills. They are a great second bike once you are comfortable, but they are more bike than most first time riders need.
The Rookie Rocket is our 50cc two stroke build. It tops out around 28 mph, it is tuned and test ridden before pickup, and it is $499.99. It comes with a 30 day money back guarantee.
Want more speed later? We also build the 66cc Street Hawk and the 80cc Redline 80.

Pickup is at 2881 N Broad St, Holly Springs, NC 27540, Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 5 PM. Come look it over and ride it before you pay.
A 50cc two stroke build with hand brakes, a solid frame and a top speed under 30 mph. Our Rookie Rocket ($499.99, about 28 mph) is built for exactly that.
No. If you can ride a bicycle you can learn a motorized bike in an afternoon. Practice starting, throttle and braking in an empty lot first.
A built and tuned bike. Kits take tools, time and know how, and a badly installed kit is the most common reason a first bike breaks.
Our beginner build, the Rookie Rocket, is $499.99. Gas builds go up to $799.99.
